Learning the Doctrine of the Church Radically Impacts Communities

March 18, 2025

“I am Pastor David Kontine Kambire, an Associate Director for World Hope. While teaching Ecclesiology, the notes speak of the biblical qualities expected for elders and pastors, I find it is often the case that this causes some confusion and many questions. Specifically, many pastors were impacted greatly by the biblical standard of being faithful to one wife. So many of our West African pastors live double lives of marriage with one woman while having other relationships on the side. However, after receiving this teaching, many pastors have repented and recommitted their lives to the biblical standard of marriage to be better respected in their positions at home and at church. This has brought about many transformations of families and ministries and has been a huge blessing to our churches as these pastors start teaching it to their own staffs and church planters and missionaries and young mentees. We praise God for WHMI’s impact in my country and all through the Church in West Africa. May God bless WHMI!”

God can use you to be a catalyst in this global movement.
